Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIIT-V) was established by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, as an Institute of National Importance under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework in 2013. Its purpose is to foster new knowledge in information technology and supply globally competitive manpower for the IT industry, along with addressing related matters. The partners in this initiative include the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, and Tata Consultancy Services. IIIT-V currently operates from its temporary location at the Government Engineering College (Gandhinagar) while awaiting the completion of its new campus in Vadodara, Gujarat. The construction of our permanent campus in Vadodara is likely to conclude in July 2025. Spanning over 62.5 acres, this state-of-the-art campus will be a hub for innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence, further enabling us to nurture talent that meets the demands of the global information technology industry. The institute has established a satellite campus at Diu (IIITV-ICD). The Diu campus was established in 2020. The campus at ICD is designed as a self-sufficient campus with state of the art facilities in terms of classrooms, laboratories, academic block, hostels, faculty/ staff housing and sports facilities.
